Tue Dec 31
Mike Geffner’s Inspired Word, one of New York’s most popular indie performance series, presents Soundz & Vibez Off-Broadway/ New Year’s Eve Spectacular.
The night features a mix of music and poetry and celebration for the new year…
Katerina Hadjipavlis is a pop/musical theater soprano. She is a graduate of LaGuardia Arts High School, and went on to study at the Aaron Copland School of Music. While at LaGuardia, she played Mrs. Potts in the production of Beauty and the Beast. She was an American Idol Top 100 Finalist in 2019. She is now a teacher in NYCPS. Musical influences included Sara Bareilles, Barbra Streisand, and classic musical theater. After a singing hiatus while in the classroom, she is excited to be back out there doing what she loves.
NatraSin is a singer, songwriter and producer born and raised in the Bronx, who has been featuring and headlining shows all throughout the boroughs. Her musical style is a mix of pop, R&B and jazz. But she is an experimentalist willing to try any sound. Her inspirations include Frank Sinatra, The Weeknd, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Eilish. She dropped her first single in June of 2024 that she wrote and produced called “God’s Design.” She dropped another single in October of 2024, “Only for the Night,” that she also wrote and co-produced.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Colin Polisano is a singer/songwriter based out of Brooklyn who is making his 2nd appearance on the Triad Theater stage. Sometimes feeling sad and emotional, he transforms his life experiences into autobiographical songs. He takes inspiration from his love of gooey R&B percussion, classical choral music, and dramatic pop ballads to create a style that is authentic. His first single "Never Bound To You" introduces his raw songwriting and emotional vocal expression to all streaming platforms.
Singer Valerie Celeste Bruce and guitarist Noah Kaplan are a musical duo. Bruce is a songwriter and country music singer originally from Louisville, Kentucky. Her musical inspirations are multi-genre, including country, rock, pop and hip hop and her multidimensional nature is reflected in her musicality. Her first single, “Londontown Games,” was released in the Fall after completion of her first album in the Summer. She loved to sing as a child, but her creative spirit took her on a different path, and she spent 25+ years building a successful career in entertainment on the business side culminating in her role as General Manager of BBC Studios LA Productions, responsible for all BBC Studios US productions including Dancing with the Stars. In April 2024 she found her voice again and began her journey to writing and recording songs. Kaplan is a comedian, musician, content creator and director, as well as the Executive Producer and star of the YouTube comedy series Thousand Dollar Listing.
Making her 2nd appearance at the Triad Theater, Kelly Lynn Noll is a poet born and raised in Queens, but now lives in Connecticut. Though a poet at heart, Noll has also been involved in many theatre productions over the years, wearing many hats as a performer, director and producer. Some of her shows have run at the Off-Broadway Comedy Club, and at Playwrights Downtown. In her poetry you will see her passion for philosophy, her personal ups and downs, as well as her relationship to nature, God, religion and (un)requited love. Reading her work is like watching her grow up, all through the lens of her autistic-mind.
