Langston Hughes II, a 23-year-old saxophonist, composer, and educator has carved his way from the vibrant streets of Washington, DC to the heart of New York City’s jazz scene. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Jazz Studies at The Juilliard School, Langston has captivated jazz luminaries and audiences worldwide with his distinct and memorable sound. He has performed and toured with notable figures such as Wynton Marsalis and The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Jazzmeia Horn, and Ulysses Owens Jr.’s Generation Y band. Leading his own quartet, Langston has played prestigious venues and festivals, including Dizzy’s Jazz Club, Blues Alley, Keystone Korner, The Kennedy Center, the DC Jazz Festival, and more. With years of experience and a continually expanding skill set, Langston's music radiates beauty, passion, and positivity.
