Please join us as PianoJazz DC celebrates its upcoming 12th season with performance and conversation in company of the most compelling musicians on the scene today. Decatur House Museum is the venue for this special evening.
The great saxophonist Herb Scott leads his trio on this special occasion. The Washington, DC native performed with renowned trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and Jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, followed by performances at the White House, Dizzy’s Coca Cola-Club in New York, the Lincoln Center, t the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Universal Studios Orlando, the Library of Congress, the Detroit Jazz Fest, the East Lansing Jazz Fest, the DC Jazz Fest.
Herb founded and leads the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation which provides critical resources, including advocacy, to DC-based Jazz musicians, venues, and music education programs.
PianoJazz DC will enter its 12th season in fall of 2025. Over 40 major jazz pianists have appeared on the series, including Orrin Evans, Miki Yamanaka, Alan Broadbent, Helen Sung, ELEW, Bruce Barth, et al. All info is at www.PianoJazz.com
