Sonya Prema
Originally from Canada, Sonya Prema is an Off-Broadway vocalist who appeared at the Triad in November 2024. According to her parents she was singing before she could talk. Influenced by icons such Ella, Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, Sonya loves voices that are unapologetically powerful and completely authentic. In her set, she will rewind the clock with classical jazz, but will bring it to the present with modern twists that are truly her own.
rhe
rhe is a board-certified music therapist, educator and an Off-Broadway singer/songwriter based in Queens. She has performed professionally in musical theatre and operatic productions across the country and abroad, including the iconic Triad Theater. Taylor Gillhouse w/ Genna Mattana
Taylor Gillhouse is a Brooklyn-based, interdisciplinary artist. Her songwriting explores the sapphic experience and navigating grief, influenced tonally by her studies in jazz. In addition to music, Taylor is a dancer and internationally featured film photographer. Taylor will be accompanied by Genna Mattana, a Brooklyn-based guitarist, multi-hyphenate artist, and longtime collaborator.
Blue
When Blue was 8, she was snuck into a bar for her first concert. The Chapin Sisters, all dressed in pretty white nightgowns, singing haunting tunes of love, scorn, and envy. Blue has aimed to create a similar environment of intimacy and exposure in her music, incorporating atmospheric, melodic wailing and blood-curdling screams to help paint vivid pictures of the winding stories told in her songs. She is working on releasing her first two singles this year with an EP, “I Can Feel You Think of Me” to follow.
