Jae Sinnett has performed with a who’s who of jazz greats over the years, including Branford and Ellis Marsalis, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Chuck Mangione, Charlie Byrd, Herb Ellis, Chico Freeman, Arthur Blythe, Carol Sloane, Jon Hendricks, Randy Brecker, James Moody, Kenny Drew, Jr., Fred Hersch, Mulgrew Miller, James Williams, Jack Walrath, Makoto Ozone, JoAnne Brackeen, Andrew White, and Frank Morgan to name a few. He has produced 19 albums as a leader and several as a sideman.
In August of 2021 his Trio CD Altered Egos released featuring pianist Allen Farnham and bassist Terry Burrell. The CD features the trio in the straight ahead swinging jazz style and the funkier groovin concepts. Two styles of jazz are authentically represented on Altered Egos. Hence the title. In 2022 jazz finally succeeded in achieving one of his dreams…to have his music played and recorded with a symphony orchestra! Jae Sinnett’s Zero to 60 Quartet with the Symphonicity Orchestra – Live at the Sandler Center was release to critical acclaim. Winning “Best Jazz Album” and “Album of the Year” in the 2023 Veer Magazine Music Awards! Jae’s latest and his 19th release, Commitment, features his Quartet with very special guest, jazz legend Randy Brecker. Beautifully structured and balanced with sonic beauty, sophisticated writing and arranging and virtuosic performances. Commitment is Jae's most hard swinging and soulful jazz release to date.
