Sarah Gooch and Alba Pujals met while studying under the direction of Wynton Marsalis at The Juilliard School from 2019-2021. Together they have recorded and performed original music at venues in New York City and in Barcelona.
Sarah Gooch has performed at Dizzy’s Club at Jazz Lincoln Center, Smalls, Cellar Dog, Joe’s Pub, and City Winery, Cotton Club Tokyo, Blue Note Milano, A-Trane (Berlin), Yoshi’s. Other performance highlights include playing at the Bern International Jazz Festival in Switzerland with a Juilliard alumni band and at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival with Bria Skonberg. Sarah plays frequently with Eyal Vilner, Ned Goold, Doug Wamble, Josh Lawrence, and James Burton III. She now resides in Raleigh, NC
Alba Pujals has performed at Dizzy's Club (New York), Rose Theater (Lincoln Center in New York), Bimhuis (Netherlands), North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), Grachtenfestival (Netherlands) and the Terrassa Jazz Festival, among others. She has shared the stage with Joshua Redman , Dick Oatts , Perico Sambeat and Carles Benavent . In 2023 she presented her debut album, Apologia (The Changes Music, 2023) and the Two Slides project, with fellow trombonist and singer Rita Payés , with whom she released the EP Two Slides Vol. 1.
