The night features:
Jacob Morrell is a 17-year-old singer as well as a Broadway and Off-Broadway performer and film actor. His Broadway credits include: The Last Boy: A New Play With Music, and Kinky boots. Off-Broadway credits: Shadowlands and XY. Jacob’s film, Between The Temples was recently just shown at Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival and will be released in late August.
Sons of Mercury is a young, strong-energy band that blends classic and new rock, playing covers ranging from the 1970’s all the way to the present, along with their new, emerging originals. Started by three NYC boys (on bass, drums, and guitar) with an added touch of singing Cali vocals, Sons of Mercury bring both a fresh yet nostalgic sound to the live music scene. Galen James-Heskett on lead vocals, Sean Pagan on lead guitar, Michael Bode on bass and back-up vocals, and Devan Saez on drums.
Singer/Songwriter Ava Breeze, 17, was raised by Gen X parents steeped in the music from the 70’s and beyond. This multi-decade musical influence makes Ava's sound feel timeless. With a huge focus on layering harmonies, playing guitar, she made possible what she thought was impossible. She tells stories about change and allows listeners to feel. Ava's music was first recognized when her video “Young Love” won ‘Best Emerging Female Artist’ at the LA Film Festival.
