Minh Vo is one his generation’s leading pianists in the Maryland and D.C. area. His musical journey began at the age of 7, learning classical piano at his elementary school and with the school’s teacher. After turning 13 years old, his father introduced him to the local jazz scene and was fortunate enough to be nurtured and mentored by locals Michael Price, Eric Byrd, and Paul Carr. Known for his deep rooted yet contemporary musical language and unique compositions, Vo evokes a sound akin to Robert Glasper, Kenny Kirkland, Mulgrew Miller, and Oscar Peterson. Vo has been able to collaborate with the likes of George Cables, Charlie Young, Nasar Abadey, Keyon Harrold, Mark Williams, and many more.
