Kathy Kaefer's Backstage Bistro Award winning show “Kiss Me Once: Stories from the Homefront” immortalizes the brave men and women of 'The Greatest Generation' in a celebration of the songs that inspired them to greatness.
Kathy draws a deeply personal narrative from her own interviews with veterans and their families about their wartime experiences and also her own grandmothers about their lives as young women on the Homefront.
Their stories come alive through Kathy's insightful storytelling and some of the greatest songs ever written. Big hits from the 1940's like Moonlight Serenade, White Cliffs of Dover, My Shining Hour, and I'll Be Seeing You, share the spotlight with lesser known classics like Rocking Horse Ran Away, Shoo-Shoo Baby, and Something for the Boys. Kathy brings the music of wartime back to vital life in a story that celebrates resiliency and offers hope to all who are struggling to survive.
