Confluencia is an all-female contemporary jazz fusion band from Santiago, Chile. The group features Rosario Arcuch on drums, Olga Galperin on bass, Bernardita Canobra on saxophone, and Clara Racz on piano. Known for converging jazz with hip-hop, R&B, soul, and neo-soul, they have created a modern, groove-filled sound.
Since their debut in 2023, Confluencia has received significant recognition, including first place at a major jazz festival in Valparaíso, Chile, and performances at various renowned venues. They were also awarded funding to record their inaugural EP at the prestigious Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM) studio in Santiago, further establishing their presence in the Chilean music scene.
They have been invited to perform at the prestigious DC Jazz Festival in Washington, DC, underscoring their growing international appeal. The quartet's innovative style and commitment to their craft highlight the talent and presence of women in contemporary jazz.
