Brenda Williams is a dynamic and vivacious singer and actress based in the Indianapolis area. Her style is versatile, ranging from sultry jazz standards to powerful motown classics.
Ms. Williams gained recognition with her award-winning performances for three United States Presidents, The Cabaret, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, and Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre.
She has been spotlighted by the Indianapolis Woman Magazine for their Local Female Musician Choice Award, recognized by the Indianapolis Star as one of the Top People To Watch, and Second Runner-Up to the Mrs. America Title.
Soulful and soul satisfying, Yvonne’s musical style is one that celebrates love and life while displaying a range of voice and talent that brings to mind the great jazz songstresses of the past. She graces the stage with an electrifying performance displaying skilled mastery of many different musical genres.
Yvonne is a staple in the rich Indy music scene, performing extensively in all areas of music with her band Yvonne & Company and with numerous jazz, pop, soul, R&B groups, including big bands. She is a frequent performer at renowned jazz clubs such as The Jazz Kitchen and the Chatterbox.
When not performing she spends her time songwriting and creating. She serves as program curator for The Ren Foundation.
