Marta Sanchez
Based in New York, pianist Marta Sanchez is better known for her work with her quintet, with two of their albums selected among the top 10 records of the year by The New York Times. In this performance, she presents pieces from her solo piano repertoire titled "Vignettes," a collection of short compositions that she began crafting during an artist residency at the MacDowell Colony a few years ago. The pandemic provided Marta with the time to work on this project, allowing her to complete the writing and explore its various possibilities.
