Dani Assis sings Jobim - Dani explores Jobim's classic song book and adds his own sonority into the mix.
Dani Assis is a brilliant vocalist and composer, striking audiences with his ability to story-tell using his lush and rich sound. Brought up in a deep heritage, the rhythmic heart of Brazil, Dani infuses every note with a blend of samba rhythms, bossa nova persuasion, and the rich improvisational traditions of American jazz. His performances are a journey through dense harmonies and soulful melodies, leaving audiences bound to their seats.
Having performed stages across continents such as “Blue Note” “Birdland”, “Dizzy’s club”, “Jazz Forum” , “Blues Alley” including international bandstands with stints in Japan and Turkey, Dani has shared his musical prowess with diverse audiences. With a natural charisma and an undeniable stage presence, he invites listeners to become part of the musical narrative he paints.
As a recording artist, Dani has worked with many of his favorite musicians including Maestro Ron Carter, Sullivan Fortner, Lenny White, Randy Brecker, Terreon Gully, Marcus Gilmore, Nanny Assis, Pete Levin and more!
