Celebrating the recording Stretching Supreme (Dave Wilson Music), released on 1/7/22. More than just a tribute to John Coltrane, it was recorded live at the legendary Chris’ Jazz Café in Philadelphia and contains four Trane tunes (Love Supreme: Acknowledgement, Love Supreme: Resolution, Dear Lord, and Naima), plus Days of Wine and Roses and free jazz original On The Prairie in extended, un-edited form to give the listener a look into inner musical artistry and bliss. The recording will be performed in its entirety.

Dave Wilson is a leading jazz saxophonist, recording artist, band leader, composer, and educator in the Central PA/Delaware Valley area. Wilson has worked with pianists Mark Soskin, Jim Ridl, Phil Markowitz, Bobby Avey, Kirk Reese, bassists Tony Marino, Blake Meister, drummers Adam Nussbaum, Bill Goodwin, Frank Russo. He has shared the stage with Tim Warfield, Wynton Marsalis, Tom Harrell, Lou Soloff (BS & T), the late Steve Marcus, Conrad Herwig, Gary Smulyan, Steve Smith (from Journey) and others. 

The Dave Wilson Quartet’s fourth release There Was Never (ZOHO), spent six weeks in the top 50 of the nationwide Jazz Weekly Jazz Radio Countdown, reaching a high of #18, received three stars from Downbeat Magazine, and was nominated for a Grammy. One Night at Chris’ (Dave Wilson Music, 2019) achieved “Chartbound” status (top 50 nationwide) on Jazz Radio.

Kirk Reese has been part of the Pennsylvania  jazz scene for 30 years. He is active in the recording studio, playing on & writing for TRP's (The Reese Project, with flutist brother Tom) ten recordings as well as many others, including his own critically acclaimed efforts. Reese is also a well-respected clinician and educator and has been on the music faculty at Messiah College since 1993, teaching jazz improvisation and piano.

Blake Meister is a musician with “wit, soul and an organic-sounding complexity that only a master can pull off.” (Giovanni Russonello; Capital Bop, New York Times) He has performed around the world with a range of virtuoso musicians. Blake honed his style and musical dialect working regularly with Gary Thomas, including Thomas’ large ensemble, Pariah’s Pariahs. Sharing music through education, Meister served on the faculty of the Peabody Conservatory of Music – the nation’s oldest conservatory – for a decade.

Frank Russo is an in-demand performer, recording artist and educator who teaches at Towson University. He has performed with Mundell Lowe, Dr Lonnie Smith, Hal Crook, Craig Handy, Keter Betts, Ethel Ennis, Greg Gisbert, Chuck Redd, Bill McHenry, John O'Gallagher, Dave Ballou, John D'earth, Denis DiBlasio, Ron McCurdy, The Coasters, Frankie Lane among others. Frank is a Summit Records Recording Artist whose recordings have gained national recognition and praise from Downbeat, Jazztimes and Modern Drummer.
