Anthony Stanco, a trumpet virtuoso from Southeast Michigan, emerged from Detroit's musical legacy, mentored by Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. He honed his craft at the Manhattan School of Music before returning to Michigan State University, where he clinched first place in the 2013 International Trumpet Guild's Jazz Improvisation Competition.
As leader of The Crucial Elements, Stanco showcased his talent worldwide, serving as a cultural ambassador for the US State Department. Their performances spanned the globe, captivating audiences from South Africa to Indonesia.
Stanco's acclaimed albums, including "The Crucial Elements" and “You Know The Feeling,” underscore his musical prowess, as well as his latest release, "Stanco’s Time," for Origin Records. As a Bach Trumpet endorsing artist, his signature sound resonates with audiences and fellow musicians alike. In addition to his musical endeavors, Stanco is committed to education. As an assistant professor at Michigan State University, he nurtures aspiring talent and shares his passion for jazz.
