Blackberry Jam’s annual Sade birthday tribute at the Jazz Kitchen is back! This special night will celebrate the great music Sade by playing a fine music selection of the band throughout the decades. Main lead vocals will feature the multi-talented Teresa Reynolds of Teresa Reynolds and the Slicktones as well as background vocalist for “The Queen of Disco” Gloria Gaynor. Teresa Reynolds has perfectly added her talents as part of a great ensemble of vocalist with Blackberry Jam for both 2019 & 2020’s sold out Sade tribute shows at the Jazz Kitchen.
Blackberry Jam is a live band production entity from Indianapolis, IN. Originating in the fall of 96, the band has emerged as being a multi-dimensional unit playing various styles and genres of original music as well as covering music ranging from Funk ,Jazz, soul, r&b, reggae, house, Afro-beat, rock, and hip-hop. Blackberry Jam is led by bass player/songwriter/composer/ arranger/producer Ronald "Poncho" Hedrick as well as strong and continuous contributions by his brother and long time band mate Sean “Solar P” Hedrick as well as a host of the area’s most talented and highly regarded vocalist and musicians. BBJ‘s commitment is to connect with the masses by sharing the love and passion for the music in various forms whether it be through their original work, performing covers, or live band tribute shows.
