Direct from Las Vegas, Carpenters Legacy is the definitive show celebrating the music and legacy of the famed brother-sister duo. Starring Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter and Ned Mills as Richard Carpenter, the show is a re-creation of the Carpenters’ live performances featuring hits including “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Yesterday Once More”, “Superstar”, Karen’s drum solo and much more.
Carpenters Legacy maintains a Las Vegas residency in the V Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The show has played to sold out audiences all over the country and was the featured entertainment for both the Carpenters 50th and 55th Anniversary Celebration in Downey, California (home of the Carpenters.) Carpenters Legacy is a six-time Best of Las Vegas winner, including “Best Impersonator” (Gold 2023) and is also a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award winner (2024.) Olson and Mills are the only Carpenters tribute artists to perform with Legends In Concert. Carpenters Legacy features a powerful live performance, historical commentary, lovely arrangements and video, taking audiences on an incredible journey down memory lane into the world of the Carpenters – the world’s ONLY authentic Carpenters tribute in sight and sound.
Vermont native Sally Olson is a cum laude graduate of Middlebury College and studied at Circle in the Square Theatre School. Sally’s TV appearances include the CBS series HACK in 2004 and the pilot episode of The Potwins in 2016. She starred in the award-winning short film Widow in 2010. Sally also starred in the commercial Emily’s Bridge for Heritage Automotive Group, which was awarded Vermont Association of Broadcaster's “Television Agency Produced Most Creative Commercial” of 2011. She launched Carpenters Legacy in January 2015 and made her NYC debut at the Triad Theater in April 2017.
Ned Mills began playing piano at the age of four. He's entertained audiences in more than twenty countries. He performed with many national acts, including Bobby McFerrin, Joan Rivers and Don Rickles. Ned has served as musical conductor for The Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show, Debbie Boone and The Shirelles. His film and TV credits include appearances in Matlock (ABC) and the George Lucas film "Radioland Murders". Ned was named "Most Likely to Exemplify the Spirit of Las Vegas" by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce in 2000. In 2003, he performed “Rhapsody In Blue" at the Liberace Museum on Liberace's famous mirrored piano.
Sally and Ned had the honor of having a private meeting with Richard Carpenter at his car museum “Yesterday Once More” in Thousand Oaks, California in April 2024. The duo aspires to originate the roles of Karen and Richard in a Broadway musical about the Carpenters.
