"Vibrant and Swinging"--New York City Jazz Record

Tomoko Ohno, plays an ambitious role in the worldwide jazz scene, having collaborated with Wynton Marsalis, Joe Henderson, Slide Hampton, Claudio Roditi,  Houston Person, Rufus Reid, The Dizzy Gillespie Alumni Big Band and Sherrie Maricle and the Diva Jazz Orchestra,  the Jay Leonhart trio, the Harlem Spiritual Ensemble and The Spirit of Life Ensemble.

Tomoko performs frequently at Lincoln Center, Weill Recital, Carnegie Hall, The Blue Note, Birdland , in addition to appearing on live radio broadcasts by WBGO and WNYC, and ABC TV's Good Morning America.  

As a leader, she  has released three CDs on the Tokuma label. Miss Ohno and bassist Jay Leonhart released their duo album " Don't You Wish !" in 2018 followed by the trio album “Joy” on Sunnyside Records with Vito Lesczak on drums.

Tomoko is a member of Trilateral Project with Brazilian drummer Samuel Martinelli and Bassist Marcus McLaurin, resulting in the first album Synchronicities. 

Ms. Ohno performed with the legendary bassist Bill Crow's Octet at Jazz at Lincoln Center: Let Freedom Swing.
