The group plays contemporary and standard jazz songs in the jazz organ tradition. They feature songs by classic organists like Shirley Scott and Jimmy Smith, while mixing in contemporary R&B tunes by Stevie Wonder and others. The band was recently featured at the Duck Jazz Festival, the Kennett Square Jazz Fest, and has played at clubs in Philly and Chicago such as: Chris' Jazz Cafe, Epiphany Arts Center, Urban Village, Rex at the Royal, and Leda and the Swan.
Shirley Scott was known as the Queen of the Organ. She mixed elements of bebop, blues, and gospel to record over 50 albums as a leader. The Philadelphia jazz all-star is famous for her collaborations with many jazz greats, including Stanley Turrentine and Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis.
