Cuarteto Rotterdam is the premiere European virtuosic chamber music quartet from Berlin, the world’s second leading home of Argentine tango. They generate a sound experience ranging between tradition and modernity, playing music from the Golden Age of tango from the 1940s while incorporating contemporary Argentine and European tango pieces in their performances. The award winning group will be celebrating 20 years as a performing and recording ensemble, with this North American concert and Milonga tour.

This concert and a Milonga (Argentine tango social dance event) performance are scheduled in Baltimore as part of Inner Space Tango Fest. The band will arrive at An die Musik to play some of the newest Argentine tango compositions by renowned contemporary tango artists. The works capture the soul and feeling of tango, where the interplay of virtuosity and spontaneity conjures sensation and emotion that transport the audience. Their music represents both the future, and the hundred or more years of tango tradition.

They will also play at Dinner Grand Milonga 2025 on Friday, April 25, at St. Matthias and Church of the Messiah, 5801 Harford Road, Baltimore.

The Inner Space Tango Fest is produced by Artistic Director David Richardson, Argentine Tango Space Project founder. Richardson, a dancer, filmmaker and award-winning author, founded the organization in 2016 to create unique experiences available to everyone that blends learning, dancing and rewarding social occasions. He has learned from some of the most prominent Argentine tango dancers in the world, and danced on three continents and with communities all across the United States.
