From a young age, Zachariah Lambert has been captivated by music. Rooted in blues and rock guitar, Zach quickly began to push the limits of genre and challenge audiences’ expectations of what the instrument can accomplish. His pursuit of creative music and fascination with improvisation soon led him to the world of jazz, which he began studying formally at Towson University in 2018.
 
As a way to challenge himself during the pandemic, Zach added composition to his studies. Not wanting to be limited to one aesthetic, Lambert combines elements of all his influences in both his writing and performing. The Zachariah Lambert Octet seeks to unite musicians from diverse musical backgrounds in order to combine their individual voices to create a fresh, unique sound. Zach and his bandmates are incredibly excited to perform at An Die Musik and look forward to what they can accomplish in the future.
